About Me
I’m Kiana Walker, a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC) with the Canadian Professional Counselling Association (CPCA) and the founder of Kiana Walker Professional Counselling. I’m based in my hometown of Lloydminster, and I’m passionate about providing mental health support to individuals of all ages. My focus, however, is on children and play therapy, where I work to help young ones develop resilience and emotional well-being.

I hold a B.S. in Psychology from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and an M.S. in Mental Health Counselling from St. John Fisher University. My background in sports—particularly as a former NCAA volleyball athlete—has shaped my understanding of mental health, especially in athletes. The resilience I developed through competitive sports has deepened my interest in understanding how athletes cope with performance pressures both on and off the field.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life, from children as young as 3 years old to adults. I’ve helped clients navigate a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and various life transitions. In addition, I work closely with athletes to support their mental wellness, helping them achieve balance and perform at their best.

At Kiana Walker Professional Counselling, my goal is to create a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their mental health needs. Whether I’m guiding children through play therapy or helping athletes and individuals navigate life’s hurdles, I’m committed to making a meaningful difference and helping my clients thrive in all aspects of their lives.
